Well, I didn’t see much response to the first post, but that’s ok. Right on to the second!
This one is clearly different in style from the first, which is more visually ornate and elaborate. This one brings in elements of whimsy, or of wonder, even - imagine you’re around the campfire on a warm Summer evening. The twilight is still visible in the West. You’re singing softly, and the fireflies come out to listen. They can’t sing… so they start blinking!

This file was built with Motion 3 on OS X. It’s very close to one of the default behaviors; I only added a slight blue gradient (probably invisible except with very bright projectors) and had the colors vary over time. The particle system in Motion 3 is quite powerful, especially on good hardware. I crafted this - as with the others - to be a seamless loop.
I’m realizing already that these backgrounds are all of very different styles. I probably shouldn’t just hop from style to style, especially within a song. I’m going to have a lot of forest ones (had time to shoot those) and will purchase some to fill out the needs for FaithQuest.
In fact, have a look at my Lightbox on iStockPhoto and see what you think. I think there’s a few great ones here; I also see some gaps that I might be able to fill later.
