iPhone Dream

Those who have talked to me lately are probably tired of my obsession about “my next phone”.

The other night I dreamt of the iPhone. It was in my hands at last… but it was strangely huge! The screen covered the whole front of the device, and was about 9 inches long. It was like a small tablet, not a phone! I thought, “hey, what about that picture with the eerily perfect hand holding the phone?” I can’t fit that in my pocket! I felt a deep flush of disappointment.

It’s probably because I saw it here, washed up on a distant island:

iPhone on Lost?

I think I’m going to love it, but I’m sure to have some cognitive dissonance from the price (est. $400-$500). So, Allan, why do you want to wander in the 1.0 minefield with all the other sheep? Watch this space for more on that, specifically the touchscreen interface.

What do you think of the iPhone? Hot or not?

So do you have twice the cognitive dissonance if we have two of them?? I’m pretty sure I called it first.

You did, but I’m the one who has no phone to call his own. However, the lameness of the phone you have also cries out for replacement.

I just might have twice the DisCog if we spend $1000+ on phones…

Perhaps I should let you wander in the minefield first! =)
