Saturday Blogwad

I would love to just bang out the entries that regularly accrue like so many dust bunnies (or fur bunnies, if you live with us). That’s clearly not working, judging by my posting frequency. So, enough the guilt - I thought I’d just kick out a blogwad (blogdump? clusterblog?), and see what sticks.

  • Some minor blog updates: I changed the header image. It was time - the bubbles image was only supposed to be a placeholder, and it was, well, starting to look a little girly. So, I present someone who's all man, and all in touch with his man-ness: Connor counting his rocks. He's so excited about patterns, counting, and organization. He's so different from me in this regard. He pointed out later to me, upon seeing the images, that his rocks are arranged "little and big, little and big" in a pulsing pattern. His brain is amazing. I sure love that boy.
  • I've been working on some very cool stuff, and I'll try and post what I can here soon. I've finished one documentary and am going to start another in April; I'm loving the work and I'm getting all the support I need. I'm really learning to love music in new ways, and editing is a craft I'll never be done learning about. I'm also discovering I really love art directing the look of films; I may do a little freelancing doing just that when the chance arises.
  • I gave a presentation this week to a small group of Next Generation Alliance evangelists on presentation design. I taped the session, and while it would be fun to pair that with screen grabs of the slides and make a nice podcast, I don't think I'll have the time for that. I may post the slides, and you can see the handout here. It was really fun and felt like it was something I should do more of. If you're in ministry, and you have to communicate with media support, check this out and let me know what you think. We're only scratching the surface here.

  • We had a very good bible study at our home on Wednesday. A guy comes and knocks on our door in the middle of the study, looking for directions. I invited him in, and asked him to join us. It turns out he was baptized at age 11 by someone we all knew, and had been feeling a real void in his heart and the weight of his sins. It was one of those "God things" that blows your mind sometimes. What are the chances?
  • I got my knee looked at, finally! The doc thinks it's likely patellar bursitis, and I'll be getting an MRI soon to confirm it.

More later - time for some daddy work.

I like the new header image!

Guess Allan used my computer last! I’ll repeat myself, so you know it was me:

I like the new header image!

I do like the header image! - The *Real* Allan White

Oh, and we don’t own rabbits - just cats that shed.

Hey Allan - great blogwad!  I like the new header - it’s a beautiful photo.
God blew my mind on Wednesday; I love when he does that.
You should get a bunny!  Most of them don’t shed much at all!  hee hee

Well, see you soon!
